This workshop is designed for committees of local charities, who have some responsibility and accountability for their charity’s fundraising and sustainability. (approved by the Institute of Fundraising (IoF)

Course aims
Delegates will be able to articulate the work of their charity and develop the knowledge and confidence to explore how their work could be funded and sustained in the future.
Content
- Introductions and agreeing outcomes for the day.
- Establishing where are we now.
- Identifying what helps and hinders fundraising.
- Preparing a case for support: part one.
- Fundraising methods – introduction.
- Fundraising methods – options.
- Preparing a case for support: part two.
- Making the strategy a reality
- Final comments and review.
Delivery and duration
A 1-day in-house workshop delivered on-site that focuses on a guided exploration of the charity’s income generation and fundraising activities.
Following the workshop, a summary of discussion and draft action plan will be forwarded to the committee for their review and consideration.
