ILM Level 3 Award in the Management of Volunteers
This ILM accredited course is a Vocationally Related Qualification (VRQ) for those with responsibility for co-ordinating the contribution volunteers on a day-to-day basis. (4-8 months)

Course aims
To enable volunteer coordinators to reflect on their current practices, and develop ways to enhance the volunteering experience for both current and potential volunteers.
Content
1 Mandatory unit:
Supervise and support volunteers.
There is also the option of taking 1 or 2 other units from a range of topic areas.
The programme tends to take 4-8 months to complete.
What is included
- Induction visit in the candidate’s workplace
- Guided discussion on workbook activities
- Access to on-line and hard copy resources in volunteer management
- Telephone/email support and assessment
- ILM certificate
- 6 months ILM membership, with access to ILM resources
- Internal/external verification

* £150 bursaries are available for charities with an annual income below £250,000. Information is available on request.
